The package tour management module in GlobeTrack Enterprise level software allows the creation, scheduling, booking and management of scheduled tour departures through a booking wizard to facilitate easy sales. Tour management reports including flight manifests, room lists etc. are standard.
Tour creation
The tour template is designed to enable the creation of scheduled FIT type tours. Each tour is assigned header details including name, description, valid dates, departure days, length of stay and number of seats.
Tour details
Once the header details are entered the tour is built in the same way as a customised itinerary, all elements of the tour are selected from the database. The package tour module allows you to select services by day, for example in the case of two or more hotels. In such a case, all hotel options and rooms are added for each day that they are available. Activity and transport options can be added in the same manner.
Tour departures
Once the tour elements have been input you can generate a new departure. A single departure date can be added or a range of dates within the valid date range. The GlobeTrack Enterprise system automatically generates the list of departures according to the criteria entered. Dates entered will correspond with the departure days entered in the tour header details.
Tour pricing
Fixed price tour combinations can be saved for each departure, for example to correspond with a brochure or special pricing. Simply select the tour elements involved and perform a price calculation. The system generated price can be overwritten and saved for special pricing - new pricing structures are then available for future bookings. Saved pricing scenarios can then be copied and re-priced for other departure dates.
Tour booking
To make a booking on a particular departure simply select 'book' and the system will launch a booking wizard where you can enter client details, number of passengers etc. At this stage you can opt to select or deselect certain options or extras. Alternatively, the booking can occur by selecting a saved 'fixed price scenario'. When the booking details have been completed the itinerary can be opened and emailed directly to the client or further amendments can be made. Package tours can also be made available online with complete browsing of content and booking capability.
